Teachable is the platform for you if you’re an entrepreneur or content creator searching for a way to transform knowledge into earnings.
Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a class builder himself, decided to create his online learning platform with features he envisioned his courses and students could enjoy after getting frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms had.
In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart obtained Teachable for about $250M.

In A Nutshell Is Redeemable, Teachable
Teachable allows one to create and sell online classes and training with videos, quizzes, and lectures. It has a straightforward and intuitive interface that makes it an excellent platform for beginners. You don’t need to have a virtual assistant or team member to perform it because it already takes care of your sales monitoring, payment collections, and affiliates commissions. Instead, you can concentrate more on course construction.

Here are some of the features I liked in Teachable:
Ease of Use
Teachable’s best feature is being less of a tech hassle and more of being your partner-in-arms to a business.
As mentioned previously, Teachable prides itself on its simplicity of use. Going around and operating the course will be found easy by tech beginners.
When you register on the website, it leads you to the dashboard. There you may see headers like users, websites, sales, emails, and courses. It’s pretty straightforward. It is easier for the user to upload documents, review analytics, issue refunds, and communicate with students.
Customization
Teachable’s list of partners is fairly extensive making it possible to incorporate as many tools as you need. You’ll also realize that you can easily create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages using their power editor.
Teachable offers a large choice of topics for your online course site that you can select to create an appealing landing page. All you’ve got to do is upload the logos, text, images and choose color schemes to fit your business’ branding.
You have the option of inserting custom CSS or HTML to the Code Snippets Area if you’re an advanced user.

Marketing, Student Tracking Tools, and Analytics Capabilities
When you’re trying to analyze your course sales, Teachables has all of the necessary and essential sales tracking and analytics tools that you’d need. You can see how well your classes have performed in specific periods.
You can provide your pupils discounts should they choose to buy a second course when you get access to advanced sales features like one-click upsells and packages from availing higher plans. It’s a good means of increasing conversions.
You can check student registration and engagement in regards to student tracking. You will receive reports on how your students interact with your courses, their completion rates, and where the students get stuck.
Teachable deals with tech and promotion for you so you don’t need to worry about monitoring sales and student insights with their comprehensive dashboards.
Completion Certificates
You’d need a Pro or Business Plan to access this feature. The course will award the certificates upon completion (Admin > Courses > Course > Certificates). There are templates available. Teachable will automatically insert your school name, student’s name, and title of the course. You may change elements of your certificate like logo, color scheme, and pre-set images. But, you may also create one yourself using the block editor (rich text and Liquid/HTML blocks).
Payment Options
You do not need to find a 3rd party for payment processing as Teachable comes with its own refundable payment processing via Teachable Payments.
You may select your payment currency from a wide assortment of choices. You can also create coupons and discount codes for students and affiliate codes. Teachable will handle affiliate payouts automatically.
Teachable has options like Stripe and PayPal and advanced payment options like Visa and Mastercard.
Your pupils can pay by credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. You also have the option of charging your courses as one-time purchases, monthly payments, or as a subscription.
Customer Support
The support is responsive. It has a comprehensive knowledge library with online lessons and lives webinars for common questions you may ask as you start creating your first class. But, if you have any additional questions, you can create a ticket. Normally, you’ll hear back from service within 24 hours. Professional Teachable customers have access to live chat service.

- 5% transaction fees
- There is a 5 percent transaction fee for those who opt for the Basic plan.

Why should you try it?
I’m not the most tech-savvy person out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being very confused about the crowd. However, with Teachable, I found it reasonably simple. It does take some time to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out. Akin to a duck testing the waters .
You can teach the way you want to know by using customization tools to personalize your content. Is Redeemable, Teachable
You don’t need to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to take care of payouts, taxes, affiliates, and authors. So all you have to worry about is creating the content that you want to sell.
To Sum It Up
For complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to focus more on course creation than the business’s technology and marketing aspect, Teachable is an approachable platform.
