Teachable is the platform for you if you are an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into income.
Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) based by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously called Fedora. Nagpal, a course builder himself, grew frustrated over the lack of direct accessibility to students some platforms needed. He decided to create his own online learning platform with characteristics he envisioned his courses and students could enjoy.
In 2020, sources state that Hotsmart acquired Teachable for about $250M.

Here are some of the features I liked in Teachable:
Ease of Use
Teachable’s best feature is being less of a technician headache and more of being your partner-in-arms to a company.
As mentioned previously, Teachable prides itself on its simplicity of use. Going around and operating the course will be found easy by tech beginners.
The dashboard is the first thing a user would see after registering on the site. There you may see headers like users, sites, sales, emails, and courses. It’s pretty straightforward. It is easier for the user to upload files, review analytics, issue refunds, and communicate with students.
Customization
You can integrate as many tools as you need as Teachable’s list of partners is fairly extensive. You will also realize that it is easy to create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages with their power editor.

You would need a Pro or Business Plan to access this feature. The class will award the certificates upon completion (Admin > Courses > Course > Certificates). There are templates available. Here are a few things I don’t like about Teachable now that I have talked about what I enjoyed about it:
- No free plans.
- Teachable does not have a totally free plan. But, it does offer a 14-day trial.
- 5 percent transaction fees
- There’s a 5% transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
- No phone support.
- There’s no phone number to contact for inquiries.
Why should you attempt it?
I’m not the most tech-savvy person out there. Far from it, actually. I have had many a day being very confused about the crowd. But with Teachable, I found it reasonably easy. It does take a while to explore the website, its features, and test stuff out. Akin to a duck testing the waters first.
You can teach the way you want to know by using customization tools to personalize your content. Html Teachable Thank You Page
You don’t have to worry about marketing. Teachable has built-in features to look after payouts, taxes, affiliates, and authors. So all you’ve got to worry about is making the content that you wish to sell.
To Sum It Up
Teachable is an approachable platform for complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who want to focus more on course creation than the business’s technology and marketing aspect.
You can create your online course on any subject you love, and Teachable helps you turn that into a company. Why not start now?
