If you are an entrepreneur or content creator looking for a way to transform knowledge into income, Teachable is the platform for you.
Teachable is a learning management system (LMS) founded by Angkur Nagpal as a side project. It was previously known as Fedora. Nagpal, a course builder himself, decided to create his own online learning platform with characteristics that he envisioned his classes and students could like after getting frustrated over the lack of direct access to students some platforms had.
In 2020, sources say that Hotsmart obtained Teachable for about $250M.

Here are some of the features I liked in Teachable:
Ease of Use
Teachable’s best feature is being less of a technician hassle and more of being your partner-in-arms to a business.
As stated previously, Teachable prides itself on its ease of use. Tech beginners will find it easy to go around and operate the course.
The dashboard is the first thing a user would see after registering on the site. There you may see headers such as users, websites, sales, emails, and classes. It’s pretty straightforward. It is a lot easier for the user to upload documents, review analytics, issue refunds, and communicate with students.
Customization
It is possible to integrate as many tools as you need as Teachable’s list of partners is pretty extensive. You’ll also find that it is easy to create multimedia lectures, videos, homepage, and landing pages using their power editor.

Completion Certificates
To access this feature, you’d need a Pro or Business Plan. The class will award the certificates upon completion (Admin > Courses > Course > Certificates). There are templates available. Teachable will automatically insert your school name, student’s name, and title of the program. You may change aspects of your certificate such as logo, color scheme, and pre-set images. - Teachable does not have a free plan. However, it does offer a 14-day trial.
- 5% transaction fees
- There’s a 5% transaction fee for people who opt for the Basic plan.
- No phone service.
- There is no telephone number to contact for queries.
Why should you attempt it?
I’m not the most tech-savvy man out there. Far from it, actually. I’ve had many a day being very confused about the bunch. But with Teachable, I found it fairly easy. It does take a while to explore the web site, its features, and test stuff out. Akin to a duck testing the waters .
You can teach how you would like to learn by using customization tools to personalize your content. Destination Decoration Teachable Mug
You don’t have to worry about marketing. All you’ve got to worry about is creating the content that you wish to sell since Teachable has built-in features to look after payouts, taxes, affiliates, and writers.
To Sum It Up
For complete beginners and busy entrepreneurs who wish to concentrate more on course creation than the business’s tech and marketing aspect, Teachable is an approachable platform.
